This was a fun activity to complete with the students. It focused mainly on the development of fine motor tasks. The students were invited to complete different fine motor tasks, such as:
Drawing with markers (thick drawing)
Cutting small sections with scissors
Folding paper into small sections to make a zigzag pattern.
Gluing small objects (googley eyes)
This applies the first competency of Quebec’s Kindergarten curriculum. It also applies the developments of the students’ personality by giving them autonomy to complete the tasks.
This lesson implements the progress of planning learning situations that favours the development of students. By understanding the Kindergarten curriculum and child development, a teacher can use this lesson to apply various learning opportunities, such as fine motor tasks, colour experimenting, shape creations, autonomy, and more.
